The standard requires compliance to the ISO 22000 management of food safety system. In addition the requirements of ISO 22002-1 (for food producers), ISO 2200-4 (for packaging producers).
The standard expands section 7.2 pre-requisite requirements (PrP) of the ISO 22000. It also expands its focus to food fraud, allergen management, monitoring of pathogens and labelling.
This standard is recognized by GFSI.
